IMPACT REPORT FY24-25

TENDERLOIN SMALL BUSINESS RESOURCE FAIR

Mark your calendars — the Tenderloin Small Business Resource Fair is coming up on September 16 from 12–4 p.m. at the Phoenix Hotel. This free event is a chance for small business owners to connect directly with service providers offering grants, loans, marketing and advertising support, legal assistance, business workshops, consulting, permits, vandalism response, language services, and more. Partners include CLECHA, Chase Bank, Renaissance Center, Legal Services for Entrepreneurs, multiple City departments, and community organizations like the Tenderloin Merchants Association. Whether you’re launching a new venture or growing an existing business, you’ll find resources to help your business thrive.
TLCBD IN THE NEWS
This month, Mission Local spotlighted the Tenderloin Art Walk’s resurgence, with more than 20 venues now participating each month and a TLCBD grant helping gallery owners promote and sustain what many call a neighborhood arts “renaissance.” Meanwhile, Mission Local published another article, alongside NBC Bay Area, that covered the future of the Tenderloin’s Bigbelly trash cans. While the grant that funded the bins has ended, TLCBD is working with City partners to keep them in place until new Public Works-designed cans arrive next year — ensuring there’s no gap in service and keeping the focus on cleaner streets. Both stories underscore TLCBD’s role in supporting the neighborhood’s cultural vibrancy while addressing everyday quality-of-life needs.
BE HERE! CAMPAIGN FOR ATTENDANCE AND BELONGING

TLCBD is proud to partner with Spark SF Public Schools and SFUSD on the Be Here! campaign — a citywide effort to boost student attendance and foster a culture of belonging in San Francisco’s public schools. For Tenderloin students and families, strong attendance means building skills, staying connected, and opening doors to future opportunities. Through the Be Here! campaign, we can make sure every student feels supported, engaged, and ready to thrive.
