A SUCCESSFUL BEAUTIFICATION DAY

This year’s Beautification Day brought out dozens of volunteers, staffers, and city leaders—including Mayor Lurie and Supervisor Mahmood—for a powerful day of action in the Tenderloin. We proudly launched TLCBD’s graffiti abatement initiative and marked one year of our Clean Team Workforce Program, funded by SF Public Works. Together, we cleaned graffiti, power-washed sidewalks, planted greenery, and picked up trash across the neighborhood.
Thank you to all who joined—we’re already looking forward to next year!
TLCBD SUPPORTS THE ONE SHELTER CITY ACT
TLCBD is proud to support the One City Shelter Act, a key step toward a fairer and more coordinated response to homelessness in San Francisco. For decades, the Tenderloin has shouldered a disproportionate share of the city’s shelter and behavioral health infrastructure. This legislation addresses that imbalance by setting data-driven guardrails and promoting equity across neighborhoods.
It’s time for every community to be part of the solution—and for the Tenderloin to focus on serving youth, families, seniors, and small businesses.
TLCBD VOICE: POLICY & ADVOCACY UPDATES

TLCBD is supporting a range of advocacy efforts focused on safety, investment, and geographic equity. These include TCAP’s Investment Blueprint for the Tenderloin, the City’s 10-year police boundary review, and legislation from District 5 and 10 Supervisors to more fairly distribute homeless services.
Looking ahead, we’re helping organize this year’s National Night Out on Tuesday, August 5, from 4–6pm—an annual event aimed at fostering positive relationships between police and community. For more information, reach out to Esan Looper at esan@tlcbd.org.

TENDERLOIN WEEKLY CLEAN UP: JOIN US SUNDAYS

We’re proud to support Refuse Refuse in hosting cleanups every Sunday from 1–2pm, where volunteers can meet us at Turk/Hyde Mini Park to help collect litter and support the work of our Clean Team. It’s an easy way to give back, build neighborhood pride, and connect with fellow community members.
Supplies are provided, and all are welcome!
