LARKIN STREET REVIVAL

The destination for culture, creativity, and connection.

Larkin Street Revival is a partnership-driven initiative bringing near-term investments to Larkin Street to celebrate the corridor’s identity as the gateway to the Tenderloin neighborhood’s International District.

Larkin Street is the heart of the Tenderloin’s International District—a diverse and lively commercial corridor that centers Little Saigon’s Southeast Asian cultural heritage and embodies San Francisco’s creative spirit through arts and entertainment. It is a model for inclusive urban revival that welcomes everyone to be a part of the Tenderloin’s global story.

WHY LARKIN STREET?

CULTURAL ASSET

Shaped by generations of immigrants and artists, once Little Saigon, now a hub for the broader Southeast Asian diaspora and home to legacy arts organizations, unique local businesses, and historic architecture

GEOGRAPHIC GATEWAY

Connects Tenderloin to Civic Center/Downtown; invites the city into the neighborhood’s global cultural destinations

MOMENTUM

Past plans (TCAP) identified Larkin as a focus corridor; long-planned streetscape and public realm improvements are starting to bear fruit

RESILIENCE

Despite public realm deterioration and retail vacancy challenges, Larkin remains a stronghold of creative and culturally relevant businesses doing amazing work
