TLCBD JOINS COALITION LETTER IN SUPPORT OF VISION ZERO
TLCBD recently joined over 30 organizations in urging the Mayor and Board of Supervisors to reaffirm their commitment to Vision Zero. The letter to our city’s leadership called for maintaining a focus on high-injury streets and Equity Priority Communities, scaling up safety solutions, and ensuring all streets meet a high standard for safety. We stressed the importance of interagency collaboration, with each city department playing its part, and urged the City to create transparency through clear objectives, outcome-based metrics, and a single citywide dashboard. Additionally, we highlighted the need for long-term planning and cautioned against underestimating the benefits of transforming our streets.
