What a year it’s been!
Despite ending the year with our main offices displaced by flooding and fire, TLCBD continued its essential work supporting the Tenderloin every day. Our expanded Clean Team removed over one million pounds of trash, deepening coverage and reliability on blocks most impacted by illegal dumping and public health concerns. We celebrated the first anniversary of our workforce program—creating stable jobs for Tenderloin residents—while launching a graffiti abatement initiative and sustaining Safe Passage Routes that provide daily support for children, families, and seniors.
Our Parks Team maintained Boeddeker, Macaulay, and Turk/Hyde Mini Parks as safe and active community spaces, hosting youth programming, cultural events, and the annual People’s Holiday Tree Lighting—ensuring these shared assets remain welcoming and well cared for.
Through Youth Voice and Business Voice, TLCBD invested in long-term neighborhood stability by supporting Tenderloin youth leadership, violence prevention, and pathways to opportunity, while helping small businesses navigate city systems, access resources, and participate in corridor activations that strengthen the local economy. As outreach partners for the Tenderloin Community Action Plan, TLCBD elevated neighborhood voices in city decision-making on issues ranging from shelter equity to youth safety—work that directly impacts street conditions, commercial vitality, and quality of life for property owners and tenants alike.

Moving forward, TLCBD remains committed to its core mission: maintaining clean and safe streets, stewarding parks and public spaces, supporting youth and small businesses, and advocating for a Tenderloin that is stable, accessible, and thriving.
If you were unable to attend our annual meeting last week, where we discussed details on how we served the Tenderloin over the past year, additional information is available in our 2025 annual report.
