While some San Francisco schools are starting to reopen for in-person learning this April, our Corner Captains are also increasing their presence around key intersections where Tenderloin youth are likely to be walking to and from schools and After School programs. Last month, De Marillac in the Tenderloin began seeing the return of students and on April 19, Tenderloin Community Elementary School is expected to begin the first phase of welcoming back students.
We are currently looking to increase our crew of trained Corner Captains, and looking for one-off volunteers to join us. If you are interested, please email Safe Passage Program Manager JaLil, at jalil@tlcbd.org.
