On August 6th, National Night Out took place at Boeddeker Park. The evening was full of fun for the whole family and made possible through the collaborative efforts of many local organizations, including the Tenderloin Police, and TLCBD Safe Passage.
The Kroc Center offered two lively, jumping inflatable bounce houses while instructors led an exercise dance group on the basketball court. Volunteer teams from local startups passed out Chico’s pizza and snacks during the first part of the evening.
Toward the end of the event, teams from Safe Passage and the Tenderloin Boys and Girls Clubhouse handed out free backpacks full of school supplies to eager children and parents. The Tenderloin Police and TLCBD Safe Passage also added an extra sense of safety and supervision.
