BLOCK SAFETY GROUPS
Block Safety Groups are a community-based effort toward a cleaner, safer, and more connected Tenderloin. Chances are there’s a group of neighbors currently working together on your block.
Block Safety groups in the Tenderloin (TL) meet regularly. The agenda topics vary at each meeting is different, however, it is important to note that each group has similar goal(s):
- Connect with your neighbors and business owners
- Lead community building activities
- Strengthen neighborhood pride
Block Safety Groups currently working together with TLCBD include:
- 200/300 Turk Block Safety Group
- Better Lower Eddy Street (B.L.E.S.)
- Golden Gate Resident Action Committee (G.R.A.C.E.)
- 300 Ellis Block Safety Group
- Southwest Tenderloin Group
- 400 O’Farrell Block Safety Group
