Join us Friday November 1st on Golden Gate Avenue between Jones and Leavenworth from 12 PM to 8 PM for an extraordinary Día de Muertos celebration, part of Psyched! Fest 2024. This free, all-ages outdoor event will immerse you in the rich traditions of Día de Muertos, with live music, cultural performances, and interactive activities.
The day’s musical headliner is Tropa Magica, the dynamic duo from East LA, known for their infectious blend of psychedelic rock and cumbia. Alongside them is Viaje Nahual, bringing their unique fusion of Latin folk and experimental rock, and Gabi Bravo, whose music offers a modern take on Latin American rhythms.
In addition to the music, experience captivating Aztec dancers, a traditional Día de Muertos altar, and face painting for all ages. Food vendors will be on-site for the evening portion of the event, and food vouchers will be distributed to the first 50 guests from 12 PM to 4 PM, and another 50 guests from 4 PM to 8 PM.
DJs like Caja Mágica, spinning a mix of 60s garage and psychedelic rock, will keep the energy high throughout the event.
Presented by Tenderloin Community Benefit District, San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development, St. Anthony’s, and Larkin Street Youth Services, this event is a cultural celebration you won’t want to miss. Doors open at 12 PM, with festivities continuing until 8 PM!
