There is a 24 Hour Toilet in the Tenderloin. Print the flyer, help spread the word...

As part of a pilot program, there are currently three 24-hour pit stops have been put into service in the City, including one in the Tenderloin in front of Boeddeker Park. The decision to keep these toilets will be largely based on if they are being used and worth the cost to have 24-hour coverage. Downtown Streets Team 'Demo Day Celebration' (August 15)

SF Public Works to test 24-hour public bathroom in the Tenderloin [SF Examiner]

San Francisco is expected to begin operating a 24-hour public bathroom with attendants in the Tenderloin beginning this summer. The three-month pilot program is planned for a toilet at Hyde Street at Golden Gate Avenue and comes at the urging of Supervisor Matt Haney, who represents the Tenderloin and made 24-hour public toilets a campaign promise. SF mayor announces $11.9 million budget allocation to help keep the streets clean [KTVU]

Of the $12.3 billion budget, Mayor London Breed announced $11.9 million will go to adding seven new pit stops and 80 Big Belly garbage cans to the City in an effort to keep the streets clean. The Tenderloin community has been calling for a much-needed 24-hour pit stop. Public Works, in partnership with nonprofit Urban Alchemy, currently maintains five pit stops in the Tenderloin; one pit stop that’s opens until 8pm and the others close at 4pm, leaving many people, without a bathroom option after those hours.
