See below for low-cost options to help with administrative duties and bookkeeping for small businesses.
SF ReServe – Low Cost Administrative Assistance
If you are looking for low-cost administrative help, SF ReServe offers a great opportunity. ReServe is a non-profit program sponsored by the Department of Disability and Aging Services that provides part-time work opportunities for job-ready seniors or people with disabilities. ReServists have transferable skills from past careers that offer support to small business owners.
Most ReServists work 10-15 hours per week for a stipend of $18.55/hour. The program offers a cost-subsidy for employers. The first 4 weeks are fully funded, up to 10 hours a week at the $18.55/hour stipend by the program. After that period, the program subsidizes 40% of the cost, up to 10 hours a week at the $18.55/hour stipend, bringing your costs $13.80 per hour for the first 10 hours/week. As a Business Partner with the SF ReServe program, all wages, taxes, Workers Compensation would be paid through a third-party HR service, and are factored into the $13.80 hourly cost for up to 10 hours per week.
