Earlier this year, we asked you to share your ideas for t-shirts that capture the spirit of the Tenderloin parks, and today, we’re excited to announce the winners! The four top designs below, each created by students at De Marillac Academy, each encapsulate the vibrancy and joy of the Tenderloin Park Network, and their integral place in the neighborhood.
See below to check out our top designs, and see what the Tenderloin parks mean to some of our young winners. Stay tuned for updates on how to get a limited edition shirt featuring one of these designs!

“To me, the Tenderloin Parks mean an inclusive community for all. We have our own little world in the Tenderloin community and how. SFPD and SFFD are also doing their part to keep the parks clean and safe for the children and anyone else who wants to use it.”

“When I think about what the Tenderloin parks mean to me, the answer is ‘home.’ Growing up in a neighborhood where some not-so-safe things happened was difficult, but whenever there were safe things happening it was in the park. The park is where I could just have fun and be a kid.”
