“I think there’s space for addressing both of those realities in the neighborhood,” said Hunter Franks, executive director of the TLCBD. “Beauty and joy have an important role to play in addressing the challenges in the neighborhood, and also have an important role to play in showing what success and joy in public space could look like in the Tenderloin.”
