Simon Bertrang, executive director of the Tenderloin Community Benefit District, said that whenever city residents learn what he does for a living, they lament the city’s dire conditions and say, “What can we do? We feel so helpless.” Now he’ll have an answer thanks to Shine On SF’s volunteer opportunities.
