Last month, we lost a very special member of the TLCBD family. Annette “Nina” Charley was a Corner Captain with Safe Passage. Nina’s smile and positive attitude could brighten anyone’s day. She was always looking out for her neighbors and she spoke fondly of her family. Nina would often spend free time listening to music and hanging out at Eddy and Leavenworth, close to the building in which she lived. Neither that intersection nor the Tenderloin will ever feel the same without her. We will miss Nina, and we will always remember her as a sweet, funny, and helpful person. She was also a lovely singer.
