Here are some of the photos from the second and third Play Street events in the series. There will be six events total. So if you haven’t already, come join us for some open space relaxation. Events are on consecutive Saturdays, provided the Air Quality # is below 100.

And on top of music, hula hoops, chalk art, and space to run—the second event included a backpack giveaway for kids with 250 tote bags full of school supplies, books, and activities distributed to school-age children who attended. The third event also served as an opportunity for people to get free on-the-spot Covid19 testing.
The giveaway for students was organized by the Tenderloin Afterschool Program Collaborative, which includes the Boys & Girls Club, SEADC, Glide, 826 Valencia, La Voz, City Academy, Redding Elementary School, Tenderloin Community School, and the TLCBD. A special shout out to the Human Rights Commission who provided books and a lot of the supplies.
