Dr. Malcolm John is an HIV primary care and infectious disease doctor who cares for diverse populations. In addition to caring for patients, his work at UCSF is focused on reducing disparities in healthcare and promoting health equity, with an emphasis on the health of African Americans/Black Americans, especially in the areas of HIV & Aging. At UCSF he is Director of HIV Health Equity at the UCSF 360 Positive Care Center and a Dean’s Diversity Leader for Clinical Health Equity. With experience in community collaborations and research in HIV & Aging, Dr. John has developed and applied new models of HIV care for vulnerable populations across academic and community settings, notably starting a Men of Color Program (MOCP) for HIV+ men of color not in optimal care.
