A community group has set up a job-training pop-up on a troubled Mid-Market block in San Francisco where a liquor store and smoke shop recently closed, as the city and local activists continue to try to address crime and blight in the area. Code Tenderloin, a Tenderloin workforce development nonprofit, organized the pop-up, which will be open Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons for at least four months at the corner of Jones and Market streets.
