On Thursday, May 30, Yellow Brick Road Awards took place at Boeddeker Park. As shared by Kate Robinson, TLCBD Safe Passage Director, “We wanted to take some time to recognize the hard work of our after school program partners who work every day to build a culture of safety through Safe Passage. Each of our partners sign formal agreements with us every year as their commitment to participating in our three-pronged approach to safety: Education, Visibility, and Engagement. We thank them for their collaboration and care for the kids they serve.”
This year’s Yellow Brick Road Award was given to Kroc Center/Salvation Army for their outstanding work with youth in the Tenderloin. Additional awards were also given to the YMCA and Boys & Girls Club. Special thanks to Tenderloin Station for co-hosting this event!
