Last month, Tenderloin nonprofit GLIDE, which was originally founded in 1929, became one of the newest members of the city’s Legacy Business Registry. Nominated by District 6 Supervisor Matt Haney, who represents the Tenderloin, GLIDE has now officially joined the ranks of the “longstanding, community-serving businesses” that have established themselves in San Francisco neighborhoods for at least three decades.
