When self-taught San Francisco filmmaker, Sephora Woldu began production on her debut feature-length film Life Is Fare, she wanted to make what she describes as a “love letter” to the Tenderloin neighborhood she calls home.
Sephora filmed for four years, casting local residents from the Tenderloin. The film is now premiering Life Is Fare at film festivals throughout the country as well as abroad. Listen to her interview on this KALW Public Radio segment.
