The Tenderloin Museum welcomes visual artist Deirdre Weinberg into its gallery space for ArtSpanSF Open Studios 2018. The artist has lived and worked in San Francisco for over 25 years; her dynamic artistic practice ranges from quickly drawn mini portraits to large scale public murals but is grounded in a sensitivity to her environment and immediate community. Protest Sign and Button Making at Block Fest, COUNTERPULSE

Join CounterPulse’s Zerena Diaz for an opportunity to speak truth to power with protest sign making. We’ll be providing all the materials to make your own signs and buttons, as well as inspiring protest signs from history to inspire our audience.

SF First Thursday Art Walk: Tenderloin and Lower Polk

Mark your calendars! The next SF First Thursday Art Walk is set for October. Come check out the multifaceted display of color and imagination. From live music to magic, find a little bit of everything at SF’s premier indie arts venue. PianoFight is a community-driven indy arts venue that takes pride in partnering with local artists to make great shows, mouth watering eats and delicious cocktails adding up to a uniquely San Francisco experience. Piano Fight includes two intimate theaters and cabaret stage that hosts music, comedy, plays, dance, film screenings, drag, magic, variety shows and more, while the restaurant and bar serves up new American bites and classic cocktails. They provide space and infrastructure to hundreds of artists, who create and stage 1,500 performances for over 50,000 audience members each year. During the day, we are the home base for the offices and classrooms of community non-profits like Tenderloin Walking Tours and Code Tenderloin which runs a job-readiness program for TL residents. Canon Episcopi: an all-womxn group show on Witchery

Fleet Wood presents the opening reception for “Canon Episcopi,” an all-lady group art show focused on Witchery and featuring some of the Bay Area’s most talented badass womxn artists. Co-curated and featuring new art by Caitlin Mattisson.
