Turk Street Mural Celebration at COUNTERPULSE

Together with Twin Walls Mural Company, the Turk Street mural—Tenderloin: Stay Rooted—is UP! Take a moment to celebrate the work of the artists, community members, and partners who came together to make this mural happen.
Meet the artists, grab some food, and hang out with us in front of CounterPulse and check out the mural. CounterPulse will be bringing some food, feel free to bring a side dish to share as well.
SF First Thursday Art Walk: Tenderloin and Lower Polk

Mark your calendars! The next SF First Thursday Art Walk is set for July 8, 2018. Come check out the multifaceted display of color and imagination. Make sure to visit their website for a list of participating galleries and to download the map. Over 20 galleries and art spaces bringing together the arts and culture of the surrounding Lower Polk and Tenderloin communities.
“Neon Home” at TENDERLOIN MUSEUM

Neon Home is a group art exhibition of neon-centric work featuring photographs of historic neon signs in the Tenderloin and around the Bay by photographers Mark Carrodus, Merideth Grierson, Randall Ann Homan, and Al Barna. The show gets its name from its centerpiece: a glowing neon sign-sculpture called “Home/Hotel,” a collaboration between SF Neon and Oakland based tube bender and neon artist Shawna Peterson.

PIANOFIGHT, Multiple Live Performances Nightly

From live music to magic, find a little bit of everything at SF’s premier indie arts venue. PianoFight is a community-driven indy arts venue that takes pride in partnering with local artists to make great shows, mouth watering eats and delicious cocktails adding up to a uniquely San Francisco experience. Piano Fight includes two intimate theaters and cabaret stage that hosts music, comedy, plays, dance, film screenings, drag, magic, variety shows and more, while the restaurant and bar serves up new American bites and classic cocktails. They provide space and infrastructure to hundreds of artists, who create and stage 1,500 performances for over 50,000 audience members each year. During the day, we are the home base for the offices and classrooms of community non-profits like Tenderloin Walking Tours and Code Tenderloin which runs a job-readiness program for TL residents.
