District 6 Supervisor Jane Kim has launched a GoFundMe campaign to support victims of a 2-alarm fire at a Tenderloin apartment building last week that displaced more than 70 residents.
Officials assessing the damage found that the fire at 545 O’Farrell St. (between Leavenworth and Jones) affected more than one-quarter of the five-story building’s 80 units. According to Kim’s statement on the GoFundMe page, 21 units were damaged, and more than 70 tenants were displaced.
