Around here, we tend to improve with age. . .
On Monday, November 13th, our Safe Passage Senior program partnered with San Francisco Senior Center for a health and fitness walk in the neighborhood. We’ll be continuing to develop this program with safe escort for seniors to special events such as visits to parks, museums and other events.
If you’re a Tenderloin senior, or know one, who could benefit from the companionship, camaraderie, and activity of an escorted walking group event, please let us know. Monday’s event included a walk to Boeddeker Park amid excellent conversations. One of our vibrant group members was 92-years young!
Our Safe Passage Senior Walking Groups are supported through Vision Zero SF’s Safe Streets For Seniors Initiative. Seniors are SF’s most vulnerable pedestrians, according to Vision Zero.
