By Caille Millner on SF Chronicle:
From 1977 to 1994, the Tenderloin Times was a feisty newspaper for an even feistier neighborhood. I felt unsettled by the idea that it was in a museum, instead of being passed around on the street.
I felt even more unsettled that the institution being trapped in amber was the Tenderloin Times. In many ways, that paper’s work is as relevant to San Francisco now as it was when it was being printed.
Make sure to check out the exhibit, which runs through March 30 at the Tenderloin Museum (398 Eddy Street).
The museum will be hosting several special events as part of the exhibit. Check out the upcoming events here.
