The Tenderloin Museum’s latest exhibit, Voice of the Central City: The Tenderloin Times, 1977-94, opens on November 2nd, and focuses on the Pulitzer prize nominated, four-language Tenderloin paper published out of Hospitality House during the aforementioned years.
The opening evening will offer two experiences at various prices. First, a donor preview reception will start things off at 5:30pm for supporters of the museum. tickets to the donor reception art $100 and can be purchased here.
At 7:00pm, Broadsheet to Broadband: Community Media in the Digital Age is a panel discussion on how technology impacts community journalism. Panelists include Sara Colm and Rob Waters, Former Editors, The Tenderloin Times; Andrew Lam, The Tenderloin Times & New American Media; Juan Gonzales, Founder, El Tecolote newspaper & chair of CCSF Journalism Department; Carrie Sisto, Tenderloin Editor, Hoodline.
