As part of the Safer Taylor Street Project, SFMTA has created a survey to gather feedback on the funded project, which seeks to bring capital improvements to address pedestrian safety along Taylor Street. Take the survey here. The survey takes 5-10 minutes to complete. The final day is 9/29.
As part of the community outreach for the project, the Tenderloin Community Benefit District in collaboration with Walk SF has lead a series of presentations to provide general information and gather community input and then later more in-depth workshops.
The Safer Taylor Street Project is a critical component of San Francisco’s Vision Zero goal to eliminate all traffic deaths by year 2024. This initiative aims to tame streets with higher collision rates to prevent pedestrian related incidents. Starting this spring, the SFMTA will be collaborating with Taylor Street residents, businesses, community and advocacy groups to develop a new vision for Taylor Street between Market and Sutter streets that improves safety for all users.
