The Healing WELL new location at 476 Eddy (at Hyde).
The Healing WELL, which offers free wellness programs for mind, body and spirit (classes range from meditation to creative arts) is just recently putting the finishing touches on a ground floor space at 476 Eddy Street. Providing free opportunity for wellness for all community members, the Healing WELL has been a beacon for respite, providing a compassionate space for “calm in the storms of poverty and prejudice, mental illness, substance abuse and addiction.”
But just because they have a new space doesn’t mean they’re staying shut in. In September and October, join The Healing WELL for a special Gentle Movement Class at the Turk-Hyde Mini Park.
Classes are free and open to all, and will provide a great moment for relaxation, movement, meditation and enjoyment at the Turk Hyde Mini Park.
Class Schedule
Mondays, 1-2pm
September 18th and 25th
October 2nd and 9th
Turk Hyde Mini Park at (Turk and Hyde Streets)
The classes are being offered as part of the Turk Hyde Mini Park Pilot Program, and were made possible through a micro grant.
Founded in June 2015, The Healing WELL has operated programs from the headquarters of the Faithful Fools. In May of 2017, The Healing WELL was the recipient, along with twelve other nonprofits, of a sustainability grant from the San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development, allowing the space to continue serve people where they are. An open house is scheduled for September 27th from 4-7pm.
We congratulate the Healing WELL and are grateful to the City for helping them to stay within the community they serve. There’s no doubt they will be a welcome addition to the 400 block of Eddy by bringing an activated storefront focused on wellness.
