In May of 2016, Mayor Ed Lee announced a new initiative, the Fix-It Team, to address quality-of-life issues such as sidewalk cleanliness, graffiti, and potholes among other concerns. In 2017, a list of 20 new Fix-It Zones were added, quadrupling the effort, including a swath of District 6 that encompasses Market Street, from 4th to 6th Streets, and a large area in the Tenderloin north of Market Street up to Ellis Street from Mason to Larkin Streets.
Would you like to meet the Fix-It Team and share your neighborhood concerns? The first Fix-It Community meeting for the Tenderloin is scheduled for this Thursday, August 31st, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm and will be held at Boeddeker Park, 246 Eddy Street.
