New Tenderloin building to offer restaurateurs space at super-low rents [Hoodline]

A developer lucky enough to get a good deal on a major piece of property in the Tenderloin is passing it on through purposefully low rents, in the hopes of attracting creative new restaurants to the neighborhood. Pandora Karaoke reopens in a new Tenderloin home [Hoodline]

TLCBD Safe Passage is happy to hear that Pandora Karaoke has reopened at a new location in the Tenderloin. After more than three years of renovations and permitting hurdles. The karaoke club closed up shop at its old Eddy Street location in January, after an ongoing landlord dispute. But it's now back open at 50 Mason St. (at Eddy), the former home of 50 Mason Social Club.

Jazz Supper Club Revives Live Recording Legacy in the Tenderloin [Eater SF]

Tenderloin jazz club Black Cat — part bar, part restaurant, part performance venue — took on a new role this week: Live recording studio, with three-time Grammy award-winning trumpeter Keyon Harrold recording what’s both his and Black Cat’s first live album.
