KQED recently visited TLCBD's Safe Passage, resulting in radio, print, and video stories documenting some of the diverse voices powering this important program. Each piece offers an insider's look, capturing some of the diverse people who've come to inspire as Corner Captains, the residents who volunteer to make the Tenderloin a safer place for ALL.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know some of the stories of our amazing Corner Captains.

By growing our Safe Passage program, we are able to offer economic opportunity for Tenderloin community members through stipend and paid staff positions. Help us grow this amazing program with a donation.

These stories were compiled as part of California Dream, a statewide collaboration between Capital Public Radio, KQED, KPCC, KPBS and CALmatters focused on key issues of economic opportunity, quality of life and the future of the “California Dream.” Reporting for these stories was done by Farida Jhabvala Romero and video by Adam Grossberg.
