Tenderloin! Head down to Civic Center Plaza for a special tree lighting event on December 5th from 5-7pm. There's a whole lot planned for the event with Honey Mahogany emceeing, toy giveaway, performances, and drinks (naughty and nice variety). Not to mention appearances by Scrooge and Santa.

From the organizers:

Bundle up, and bring your family and friends to eat cookies, drink hot chocolate, listen to music, and kick-off the holiday season with the San Francisco Civic Center Plaza Tree Lighting!

Host Honey Mahogany will emcee the night of entertainment, which includes performances by vocalist and X-Factor finalist Jason Brock; a cappella glee club Scales of the City, San Francisco A CappellaThe Tap Dancing Christmas Trees; and members of Boxcar Theatre's Speakeasy, such as Nick A. Olivero, who will lead a Christmas parade of children to the event. Christmas VIPs such as The Great Dickens Christmas Fair's Scrooge and Ghost of Christmas Present, and the man-of-the-hour — Santa himself — will also be in attendance.
